2025-26 NCVBCA PLAYER & COACH OF THE YEAR AWARDS
RALIEGH, NC (November 17, 2025) – The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) is proud to announce two of the most prestigious recognitions in North Carolina high school volleyball—by school classification. Congratulations to the 2025-26 NCVBCA Player of the Year and Coach of the Year award recipients!!

It celebrates a coach who guided their team to a successful season while demonstrating deep knowledge of the game, developing talent, and contributing to the volleyball community through leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism—chosen by fellow NCVBCA coaches.

2025-26 NCVBCA ALL-state tEAMS aNNOUNCEMENT
RALIEGH, NC (November 10, 2025) – The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) is pleased to announce the 2025-26 NCVBCA All-State Teams. NCVBCA awards were voted on by NCVBCA member head coaches. Congratulations to all the student-athletes selected. Learn more about NCVBCA awards at ncvbca.org/awards.

- NCVBCA All-State First Team, All-State Second Team and All-Region Certificates are available to print and download from the AVCA Certificate Database.

Upcoming NCVBCA Awards Announcement
The next step in the NCVBCA Awards timeline: On Monday, November 17, the NCVBCA will announce two of the most prestigious recognitions in North Carolina high school volleyball—Player of the Year and Coach of the Year—by school classification.
NCVBCA Player of the Year
This award represents the pinnacle of individual achievement for a student-athlete in North Carolina high school volleyball. It honors exceptional leadership, sportsmanship, superior volleyball skills, academic achievement, and a strong work ethic—nominated and selected by NCVBCA varsity head coaches.
NCVBCA Coach of the Year
This award signifies outstanding coaching excellence. It celebrates a coach who guided their team to a successful season while demonstrating deep knowledge of the game, developing talent, and contributing to the volleyball community through leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism—chosen by fellow NCVBCA coaches.

2025-26 NCVBCA All-State & Player/Coach of the Year Voting Open until Nov. 3
NCVBCA active member head coaches may click on their class below to VOTE for 2025-26 NCVBCA All-State October 27 – November 3. Athletes selected to All-Region are eligible for All-State and Player of the Year. All-State will be announced by class on November 10. All NCVBCA member coaches are also encouraged to help select the 2025-26 NCVBCA Coach of the Year by casting their ballot online October 27 – November 3. NCVBCA membership is required to receive NCVBCA awards.

2025-26 NCVBCA ALL-REGION TEAMS ANNOUNCEMENT
Raleigh, NC (October 27, 2025) - The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) is proud to name 278 student-athletes to the 2025-26 NCVBCA All-Region Teams. The athletes were nominated by NCVBCA/AVCA member head coaches. The award recognizes players from NCHSAA member schools for their extraordinary volleyball play.

2025-26 NCVBCA all-REGION & COACH OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
- NOMINATE ALL-REGION - Each varsity head coach member can nominate UP TO THREE eligible student-athletes for All-Region. Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior student-athletes from NCHSAA member schools are eligible. Coaches must be a NCVBCA/AVCA active member, and from a NCHSAA member school to nominate. - NOMINATE COACH OF THE YEAR - All NCVBCA/AVCA active member coaches may nominate to Coach of the Year. Members may nominate more than one coach. To qualify, a coach must be a NCVBCA/AVCA active member, and have a successful 2025-26 record.
NEW THIS YEAR:We’re thrilled to announce that North Carolina private and independent high school volleyball coaches — including those from NCISAA and NCCSA schools — are now eligible for 2025-26 NCVBCA Coach of the Year honors!This means we’ll be recognizing top coaches from each NCHSAA classification and one standout coach from the NCISAA/NCCSA community. But we need your help to spotlight these deserving leaders.
2025-26 NCVBCA Players to watch list announced
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (September 4, 2024) – The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) is pleased to announce its 2025-26 NCVBCA Student-Athlete Players to Watch List. This year’s Watch List recognizes athletes nominated by NCVBCA varsity volleyball head coaches from throughout the state for their outstanding volleyball play.
The Watch List sets the stage for the NCVBCA All-Region, All-State, and Player of the Year awards programs named later this fall. To be eligible for NCVBCA awards, athletes must attend a NCHSAA member school and be nominated by a NCVBCA active member coach.
Congratulations to this year's Watch List student-athletes! Have a great season!

Nominations are open for the 2025-26 NCVBCA Preseason Players to Watch List until September 1, 2025 (extended deadline). The Watch List will be announced on September 4.
- Each varsity head coach can nominate UP TO THREE (3) eligible student-athletes.
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior student-athletes from NCHSAA member schools are eligible.
- Coaches must be an NCVBCA/AVCA active member, and from a NCHSAA member school to nominate.

The NCVBCA was established as an AVCA Affiliate Partner and now joins Kentucky, New York, Alabama, Nebraska, and California as AVCA Signature Affiliate States. The AVCA Signature Affiliate Program was established in 2015 and is designed to incentivize AVCA membership, advance the high school volleyball community, and establish the AVCA as the official coaching education partner with the states that participate in the program.
