Congrats NCHSAA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Inductee: Zoe Bell

The North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) proudly congratulates President Zoe Bell on her induction into the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Coach Bell, the current head girls volleyball coach at Marvin Ridge High School, has built one of the most accomplished coaching careers in North Carolina history and continues to serve as a leader for the sport statewide through her role as NCVBCA President.

The NCHSAA Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made lasting contributions to high school athletics through leadership, service, and achievement. The Class of 2026 was recognized at a private reception on April 21 at the NCHSAA office, with the official induction ceremony scheduled for August 15 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro.


NCHSAA Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2026

CHAPEL HILL (March 18, 2026) — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2026, recognizing eight individuals whose impact has shaped high school athletics across the state: Michael Baker, Zoe Bell, Patty Evers, Greg Frey, Vicki Hamilton, Beecher “B.W.” Holt, Leonardo “Leo” Lockhart, and Bobby Reynolds.

These honorees represent decades of service as coaches, administrators, officials, and advocates for student-athletes. Their accomplishments include state championships, national coaching honors, and a lifelong commitment to mentorship, sportsmanship, and community leadership.

Zoe Bell | Charlotte

Zoe Bell built one of the most successful volleyball programs in North Carolina history during her tenure at Providence and Ardrey Kell High Schools. She compiled an outstanding 841–241 career record, capturing five state championships and 16 conference titles, while also contributing as a softball coach at Providence.

A trailblazer for the sport, Bell is the founder and president of the North Carolina Volleyball Coaches Association (NCVBCA) and was named the 2018 AVCA National Coach of the Year.

Coach Bell’s impact extends far beyond wins and championships—her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to growing the game have helped elevate volleyball across North Carolina. The NCVBCA is proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor and her continued influence on the coaching community.
